Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett brags on his state website that the first photo ID election went off without a hitch.

It was a whopper of a city election in Waynesboro, with 354 votes cast. I guess they are expecting this amazing success to scale up when millions of voters go to the polls across the state this year starting next month.

It might also be relevant (or maybe not?) that Waynesboro's population is 96.8% white, 1.6% black, and 1.2% Hispanic, as compared to the statewide population which is 77.6% white, 16.7% black, and 4.6% Hispanic.

Anyway, what if every single voter in the state "forgot" their photo ID and showed up at the polls without it? What if all those voters were to cast provisional ballots? And then what if they all showed up at county election commission offices over the next two days to present their photo ID to have their provisional ballots validated? That would be awesome.

That WOULD be totally awesome, and an interesting way to protest.

If somebody could actually organize this statewide, I'm definitely in.
