Oh, yeah. I only caught a few seconds of that. After they cut the Big Dog off. I couldn't believe it. He's been out of the spotlight? He's out of touch? Right. They should have let Clinton talk, and left the right wing bloviating for later.

Gill on the upcoming Bredesen / Bryson matchup:

"Well, David beat Goliath."

So does that mean that the only thing that Bryson can count upon is divine intervention?

Gee. I know that the GOP likes to live through their faith, but c'mon.

(And our favorite failed GOP House candidate-cum-failed talk radio host is now whining about how Bredesen and Corker can just punch in the buttons at the "anytime teller machine." Cry me an effin' river, Gill.)

OMG. Thanks for that. I

OMG. Thanks for that. I caught it just in time.

That's the Bill Clinton I saw on Little Rock local TV news circa 1984 when I was down there on business and flipped on the motel room TV. I called the Mrs. and said "Hey, you ought to see this goober down here on the local news talking about education in Arkansas. This guy gets it. And amazingly, he's a Democrat. He ought to run for president."

And he may have been a DLC triangulating Blue Dog Democrat, but my life was better on his watch, even if I paid more taxes.

At any rate, that's a pretty strong endorsement for HFJ. HFJ is no WJC, but when the chips are down and the Senate D leader (hopefully majority leader) says toe the line on an important issue or forget any DNC support, at least we'll have that.

P.S. We had seriously thought about coming over there for that event. Now I wish we had. It would have been far more exciting and inspiring than the pathetic, depressing local election results we stayed around to watch.

Winfield Dunn on Jim Bryson:

Paraphrasing, "Jim Bryson is the 2nd coming of Howard Baker."

Uh huh.
