According to today's Maryville Daily Times, A group of (not so) Happy Valley homeowners has filed a lawsuit against Blount County, the Blount County Planning Commission and Harmony Property Group LLC over a planned Chilhowee Mountain development to demand that zoning regulations and environmental study requirements be enforced. Read the article for the litany of complaints.

They are not asking for damages. They are just asking the county government to do its job. The question is, since when do citizens have to hire lawyers to sue their government to make them do the job they were elected to do? As Blount County Mayor candidate Joe Gallagher says, it's "time for a change."
