Major bummer. Hope it gets
Major bummer. Hope it gets restored and soon. Maybe our legislators will come to the aid of a lot of small businesses in our state. It's a paltry amount next to what we're spending on power from sequestered carbon, which is poisoning us and the planet.
I don't understand this. The
I don't understand this. The agency that certifies the Green Power Switch program allows no more than 50% methane power within the mix of renewables, and TVA hit that limit quickly. Ever since they've been desperate for solar installations. Good participation in the Generation Partners program ought to mean they could start work on a new methane facility, at Chestnut Ridge for example.
If their pricing was flawed, they ought to just change the rate for future partners or chalk up the loss as a PR expense, as remorse for their ash spill and as an investment in a cleaner future. Suspending the program just looks cold and corporate.
