Haslam may have created some jobs at Pilot stores in the state, but it looks like his campaign is creating a few out of state. Some out of state expenditures from the campaign's first quarter report:

• Ayres, Mchenry & Associates, Inc., Alexandria, VA: $40,493
• Emotive, Llc, Arlington, VA: $78,808
• Mac Research, Washington, DC: $35,644
• Persuasion Partners, Inc., Madison, WI: $42,000
• Smart Media Group, Alexandria, VA: $897,904
• Strategic Perception Inc., Tulsa, OK: $129,579
• The Lukens Company, Arlington, VA: $7852

Total: $1,232,280 (61% of expenditures).

Guess there aren't any qualified companies in Tennessee that can do political consulting, research, media production, and printing.

To their credit, it appears they are providing health insurance to staff.
