Weird. Nashville is supposed to be the liberal part of Tennessee. We're always a little worried with our Obama bumper sticker in extremely conservative Blount County. However, the only time in Tennessee we had an incident was in Nashville, some woman shot us a bird and hollered something about our bumper sticker.

It wasn't easy getting to this story. I got several 'Servers Too Busy' pages.

Eric Cantor would tell us that it's our fault for electing Mr. Obama. Had he not won the election, these same people could just point at us and giggle. I'm frankly surprised this doesn't happen more often here in Redneckia. I have often admired the few gutsy motorists I see wearing rainbow bumper stickers in Tennessee.

I had more trouble from my "George Bush Empty Warhead" sticker than my Obama sticker.

Before I covered up the GWB sticker with a Ray Abbas sticker I had received large rocks through the windshield and both rear passenger windows.

Since covering it up I've gotten nothing.

The Obama sticker showed up about two years ago.

I guess we'll see how it wears.

I get the stink-eye from some folks in South Knoxville for having an Obama sticker. No one has threatened me so far....at least not to my face.
I think that this man was deranged and angry before he saw that bumper sticker.

I wont mess around here and call names, but there are vitriolic elements to both sides of our political system. Both sides are looking for an opportunity to point their finger and scream "See how they really are!" I think that the only people that benefit from this are those with the victim mentality that feeds on pity and righteous indignation, and those that provide that needed attention. I'm sure that there is a veritable crap-storm brewing on the horizon.

Everyone is so damn pissy lately, and this piece of shoddy journalism is a prime example of the political climate. There was only one side given, and we are led to believe that this man went bonkers because of an Obama sticker without any effort given to find out what really happened (was the man taunted by the victim?).

If my car is hit in the near future, I will be sure to tear off my sticker to keep the shills from getting worked up.
