Some trivia: Abrams Creek is one of the few mountain "limestone" streams, owing to one of it's tributaries running underground thru Cades Cove. This, and nutrients from rich soil and agriculture in Cades Cove, create a higher PH balance than normal, which is good for insects in the stream, which makes for a large and diverse population of trout food, which makes for good trout fishing.
