Here is a handy little gadget for your Windows 7 machine.

Open a new folder within your documents folder and name it thus:

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

When you have finished send a shortcut to the desktop.

Launch it from the desktop and marvel at the goodies it contains.

Caution: Use this also with 32-bit Windows Vista but not 64-bit Vista. It works great with 64-bit Windows 7.

The friend who told me about

The friend who told me about GodMode had a problem today with his new HP and he spoke with a tech in India. She repaired his machine remotely and then asked him to explain the 'GodMode' icon on his desktop. He suggested that she just launch it and she was amazed that no one in her office knew anything about this hack.

She also asked him what kind of machine he had displayed for his wallpaper. He explained that it was a photo of the latest shuttle launch.

Fortunately I had another program that allowed me to view the system directories and delete the GodMode folder. Couple of restarts and I'm OK now - I think
