Year end supplemental for 4th quarter of 2009:

Opening bal Receipts Disbursements On hand

Ramsey $1,257,431.44 $1,412,876.20 $317,925.34 $2,352,382.30
Wamp $1,054,195.70 $1,373,078.07 $552,523.83 $1,874,749.94
McWherter $619,483.47 $400,469.77 $399,953.34 $619,999.90
Kyle $0.00 $741,484.99 $153,442.33 $588,042.66
Gibbons $301,214.49 $225,218.37 $279,870.22 $246,562.64
McMillan $145,117.77 $159,981.42 $198,372.72 $106,726.47

Note: Kyle's numbers include a $300,000 self loan.

Despite Haslam's massive war chest, Ramsey, who was operating under fundraising constraints while the legislature was in session, appears to be gaining momentum. Wamp isn't far behind. And Haslam is spending money like crazy. That's a lot of google ads!

On the Democrat side, Kyle, who was operating under the same constraints as Ramsey, appears to be gaining on McWherter, even if you don't count the self loan.

Interesting. McWherter, Kyle,

Interesting. McWherter, Kyle, and McMillan total on hand funds for all three ($1,314,769) is less than any one of the Republican candidates except for Gibbons.

It's kind of like running for office in Blount County. The Democratic Party wants to put up candidates, but the odds are very low on winning a seat.
