Never knew Governor Wilder but I sure knew of him.

A very very long time ago I saw Governor Wilder speak.

Couldn't figure out what he was saying, truth be told,
I'm not sure anybody else did either..

Governor Wilder listened to the beat of
a different drummer.

In fact, one could say,Governor Wilder was a bit
off beat.

But the back beat Governor Wilder layed down
was a symphony in the Senate.

Governor Wilder's axiom:

"Let the Senate be the Senate"

Allowed the body to move foward on tough legislation.

We will never see the likes of a person that
embodied the spirt of the legislative process in
the manner ole John Wilder did.

Governor Wilder..a great man..who did great things
for our state.

RIP.

We will never see the likes

We will never see the likes of a person that embodied the spirt of the legislative process in the manner ole John Wilder did.

That's what you would call a mixed blessing.
