It has been a very memorable year with a lot of potential for progress. I'm going to remember the people who profit by convincing people that the concepts of freedom (R) and fairness (D) shouldn't meet somewhere in the middle to manage the common defense and general welfare of our nation, those that tried to turn it into something ugly. No matter how Stacey Campfield manages to interpret this as a violation of your freedom requiring his blessed protection, it is not a fund to send people to his house to silence him nor will your donation be used to compile any sort of snitch list. We already learned that lesson.

Republicans were more focused on wedge issues meant to divide us last session than they were on dealing with real problems affecting real people.
Your donation will help us create a rapid-response team  whose sole purpose will be to debunk the lies being spread by irresponsible Republicans like Congresswoman Blackburn or call attention to ridiculous legislation or policies they propose.

Let's congratulate Congressman Blackburn for creating full time jobs!

If this doesn't make you want to rally support for Greg Rabidoux among your friends in the Seventh District, I don't know what will.

It's so close to baby Jesus'

It's so close to baby Jesus' birthday, Marsha. You didn't get those two committee assignments so you could tag along with Joe Barton to Copenhagen just to heckle. It's great that you're talking about incentivizing some of the developing technologies, but so did Joe and #1 and 2 on that list when he chaired the Energy and Commerce Committee were nuclear and fossil fuels, ensuring that some good ideas continue to lie fallow.

"Oil dependence is a problem we need no longer have -- and it's cheaper not to. U.S. oil dependence can be eliminated by proven and attractive technologies that create wealth, enhance choice, and strengthen common security."

If Republicans are going to be in charge of Tennessee for the next 100 years, at least up your game a little and talk about some real ideas instead of posing for the media. Real people who wish they could vote for someone who will do some work don't enjoy the politicization of the energy debate any more than you do. (Unless that's just what you do best, in which case: congrats on being selected to give the Republican response to the President's weekly radio address. Maybe one day you can be RNC chairman and, like Michael Steele, not have to "do policy".
