This is cool. More later. About 20 people at the Verizon store at Turkey Creek. They have 300 phones.

UPDATE: GPS with spoken turn-by-turn directions and street views guided me accurately to my driveway. Still figuring out the phone, more later.

The touch, as good as Apple's?

R, do you have any experience with the iPod or iPhone? My biggest problem with my Omnia (and all others I’ve tried) is this touch screen is by far inferior to the Apple products. How are the touch screens and the keyboard? Does it have a track ball or touch pad?

Also, if you are familiar with Windows Mobile, how does Google’s platform compare?

can't wait for further

can't wait for further review. I haven't had a phone at all for over a year. I am the Osborne effect and I'm not spending any money on any thing until people start making things that deserve to live in 2010. I see a communication device in my not that distant future which would ease my rage caused by not having that flying car.

i think a better use of that 'wayfinding' $300,000 would have been to cover downtown with wifi - i.e. an investment in 'new' technology (ipod touch, laptops) that more and more people are beginning to use.
