Anderson County radio traffic is describing a shooting at a park near the Bull Run Steam Plant on Edgemore Road. Perpetrators presently headed toward Solway and Pellissippi Parkway in a green Ford Escort.
At first the victim was described as having a gunshot to the head. Now saying gunshot to the right shoulder after being pistol whipped in the head.
Update: Just a matter of time before arrest since the victim is acquainted with and has just named the gunman and his female getaway driver.

There's a dangerous meme being created here. There's somehow gotten to be this idea that having a carry permit makes one the equivalent law enforcement as far as protecting everyone. 8 hours of cram session does not make you capable of much of anything except being legally armed.
