We are told there will be a meeting of the Knox County Election Commission tomorrow (Friday), at 4:30 PM at the Courthouse.
There is speculation that Greg Mackay's tenure as Election Administrator will be a topic of discussion. Folks who support retaining Mr. Mackay based on his record of good performance running Knox Co. elections might consider showing up.
RELATED: Don Daugherty has a letter to the EC outlining why Mr. Mackay should be retained.

Not A Good Sign
I've been to a 4:30 meeting on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend. Somebody's getting canned.
And
those that think he should be shown the door where the good Lord split him should consider showing up as well.
Why should he be let go?
Why should he be let go?
Because
he is a friend of the Beany Weany (beanster) one.
Why should he be let
Because he's a Democrat.
I would really like to go to
I would really like to go to this meeting. However, the spouse took the good car to Louisiana to see his mom. I'm left with the old ('91) beater car. Drove it to the store today and it is making noises I definitely do NOT like.
I would take the bus, but the last one coming this way leaves downtown at 5:30. I suspect this meeting could take longer than that.
So... if anybody is going from this part of town, could I catch a ride?
PM or email me. Thanks.
What's the scoop Rach?
What happened?
Nothing that would make you happy, MIKEY
The EC is going to accept resumes.

Finding someone more qualified than Mackay will be very difficult. But if he is the clear standout, then that gives the Rs some cover in voting to keep him.
Um,
I am pretty happy at this time.
Caught your disinformation on this subject, Nine
...at the KNS site on Saturday. Made a couple of corrections to your comments just this morn.
Couldn't help but notice that you don't try the same crap here. Smarter and better informed adversaries here, I expect.
Yeah, that is fascinating...
Made a couple of corrections to your comments just this morn.
Too funny, the Grand Correcter strikes again.
Attended a Tom McAdams the "How to decide what words mean" seminar at a Holiday Inn Select did you?
So tell us again how two law suits and a formal election complaint are filed against Greg Mackay and we hear the usual suspects claim there has never been a complaint? Life must be easier when you imagine you are the decider.
Mackay should be removed for cause, not political reasons. But I can understand why you like him. He is reliable to your cause, just not the law.
Nope
"...we hear the usual suspects claim there has never been a complaint."
Nope, not what I said. Said there has never been a ruling in favor of the complainant. There hasn't been.
Proof, once again, that you need a Constant Corrector.
I'll get right on that
Nope, not what I said. Said there has never been a ruling in favor of the complainant.
You are right about one thing. The Farragut Election was some time ago and the fact there has been no ruling on the formal complaint filed is of great concern.
Why has that taken so long?
Tuesday inquires will be made.
Thanks for the reminder. Perhaps the Election Commission should be investigated as well.
"Perhaps the Election

'purification!' cries the purifier.
yer absolutely slaying, dude.

addition? i thought i was a charter member. i just don't bother to engage it much anymore. i had a little time to waste is all. there are better ways to waste time, though, and more respectful ways to treat RNeal's hospitality, so i'll happily disengage.
Addition?
Not an actual addition, just an addition to the list I started the other day.
