Paula Flowers, Tennessee's former Commissioner of Commerce and Insurance, announced Thursday that she's running for Tennessee's 3rd Congressional District seat. That was left open by current congressman Zach Wamp's announcement that he's running for Tennessee Governor.

Former state Commerce and Insurance Commissioner Paula Flowers announced today that she is running for the 3rd Congressional District’s Democratic nomination.

"Tennessee deserves practical, experienced leadership that puts hardworking Tennesseans first," Mrs. Flowers said in a statement. "I will fight for fiscally responsible government that brings good jobs to Tennessee, grows our clean energy sector, and improves access to affordable health care."

So it's finally official!! The Wampler has been one of the House's porkier Reresentatives (sorry, I've waited soo long to say that), and I'm sure he will be missed in some circles, but good luck Paula!
