Tom Humphrey reports that Gov. Bredesen is proposing legislation that would require major chain restaurants to include nutritional info on their menus.

A KNS reporter asked locally-headquartered Ruby Tuesday about it, and they are opposed but their objections are pretty weak.

They are probably more concerned that they would have to disclose right there on the menu that a "Colossal Burger" has 2014 calories, 141 grams of fat, and 95 grams of carbs, according to their website.

That's two-and-a-half times more calories and nearly three times more fat than a Wendy's "Baconator," and twice as many calories as a Hardee's "Monster Thickburger." For that many calories you could have 12 (twelve) Krystals, and it would be just a little over half the fat.
