Ham radio isn't disappearing

Ham radio isn't disappearing. The number of licensed hams in the US stands today is 723,323, which is down slightly from the peak in 2003, but not such a rapid decline that the death of the hobby is imminent.

If we're less visible, that's mainly because of restrictive antenna ordinances and covenants that have been put in place by so many communities in the past 30 years. Doesn't mean we're not around.
