It's kind of late notice, but Wildlife Wilderness Week is a great event going on in Pigeon Forge this week. The event is jam packed with seminars, guided hikes, and exhibitions. Some of the topics include wildlife habitat, birding, photography, and other outdoor recreation.

The photo contest is an absolutely amazing display with wildlife, professional, landscape, and amateur categories. I just finished the hour seminar "Creating Sustainable Backyard Habitat for Wildlife" presented by the President of the East Tn Wildlife Rehab Council.

Samplings from tomorrow include:

- "The Amazing Diversity of Fall Creek Falls State Park"

- "Up & Close Macro Photography Workshop"

- "History of the Banjo"

- "Unusual Camping Tricks & Gizmos"

Below is a web address for the event including the schedule of events (which run through Saturday).

I thoroughly reccomend the Friday 4:45 class "Illustrated Lecture: Birds of the Smokies" by Fred Alsop. Dr. Alsop is one of the great experts on birds in the Eastern United States and one of the best photographers.
