WBIR investigates Knoxville's Greyhound bus experience

Sweating under the scorching sun. Shivering in the freezing rain. No access to food, water or restrooms. That is what it's like to wait for a Greyhound bus in Knoxville.

They spent hours at what is called the "Knoxville Area Transit Superstop on Kirkwood Street." Sounds official doesn't it? There are no facilities whatsoever.

They interviewed people waiting to ride the bus.

"A spokesperson for the city said it does not have any regulatory oversight over Greyhound or any partnership with the company, so it says Greyhound is solely responsible for its operations."

We can only hope that no one gets hurt, otherwise it will be a problem for the city

Looks like Megabus used the Knoxville Transit Center. What sort of deal did they have?

Two Megabuses per day stopped at the Knoxville Transit Center, 301 E. Church Ave.: one northbound and one southbound.
