Don't you just love rural America. These people are doing a good thing with initial funding of only $500. They are asking for help.

Garner said books may be donated at Walland Elementary, Southland Books or to P.J. Silver at the Blount County Education Foundation.

Southland Books, 601 East Broadway Ave., Maryville, is helping to organize the project. Lisa Misosky, owner of Southland Books, said the goal is to match the original funding through donations of $5 dollars from 100 people.

Apparently the Southland Books discount deadline has passed, but I'll bet the Walland Bookmobile will continue to accept donations.
