Knox County traffic deaths up 35% in 2023 compared to 2022. In 2022, 100 people died in traffic accidents. In 2023, that number rose to 135 deaths.

"Around 64% of drivers who died were involved in a crash with an impaired driver. For motorcyclists, that percentage jumps to 74%."

As of August 2024 data from the State of Tennessee, traffic deaths are down state wide as compared to 2022 and 2023.

Be careful out there.
