Photographer and UT professor Baldwin Lee has begun work on a new project centered around photographs taken by soldiers who have served in Iraq or Afghanistan. The project is called "Through A Soldier's Eye," and Lee is now requesting submissions for inclusion:
This is a call for photographs taken by those who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan to be included in an exhibition, book, and web publication. What may, in the eyes of a soldier, seem to be nothing more than boring snapshots of unimportant events and places can often be astonishing images when seen by an audience with no knowledge of the life of a soldier.
The project is just beginning. If you or someone you know has served in either Iraq or Afghanistan, please consider submitting photographs at the project website.
