By year ....
Tennessee Election Statistics

Tennessee seems to be dwarfing 2014 midterm turnout...
2018 - 1,141,857 2014 - 234,958

But still just under 200k less than 2016 presidential election

Although 2014 was the worst election turnout nationally in 70 years if I understand correctly

More than 23 million votes have been cast so far

One thing to keep in mind

One thing to keep in mind about 2014. At the top of the ticket you had a popular sitting senator, who despite having a marginally credible opponent still won by 30 points, and a populsr sitting governor who was essentially unopposed. It was a sort of meh election.

This time you have open seats for senate and governor and a red tide of maga voters whipped up into a frenzy along with a blue ripple of people freaking out.
