It should also be noted that

It should also be noted that Kentucky expanded Medicaid. Probably no need to mention the qualifications and/or political parties of the respective governors.

Kentucky Governor Andy

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear encouraged residents to do their part in stopping the pandemic by avoiding travel to neighboring states, like Tennessee.

Beshear said traveling to these states that may not have the same restrictions or orders in place as Kentucky could endanger many lives.

Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy.

I forwarded the above chart to Burchett, and received the following response:

March 24, 2020

Dear Mr. Kaplan,

Thank you for contacting me about coronavirus. It is an honor to serve in Washington on behalf of the Second District, and I appreciate your concern over this global health crisis.

If you are interested in learning more about staying healthy during this outbreak, I encourage you to visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Coronavirus 2019 webpage or contact your community's local health department. In the United States, we have responded by developing test kits to diagnose the disease, isolating individuals suspected to have or carry the virus and working to produce a vaccine.

This is an ongoing and developing pandemic, and I am continuing to monitor this situation. At every opportunity, I have encouraged my colleagues to draft clean legislation that responds to this crisis instead of using it as a political tool to push through personal agendas. I remain committed to a response—and I have voted in favor of such action—to help researchers and healthcare professionals understand, treat and cure this disease as well as a response to keep our businesses functioning.

Together, we can get through this difficult time, and I will keep your concerns about this issue in mind as I continue to address the coronavirus pandemic. I encourage everyone to remain calm and to support one another.

Please let me know if I may assist you with any issues in the future.

Kentucky's governor made a

Kentucky's governor made a bold decision to take action early and in my opinion he proved to be the best governor to lead in a disaster. Now he is asking citizens to stay away from state that hesitated on taking bold actions early to protect the citizens of Kentucky. No doubt Kentucky will recover long before other states.
