2017 average monthly job gains lowest since 2010.
- Nonfarm payrolls rose by 148,000 in December, according to the Labor Department, well below expectations of 190,000.
- Biggest job gains by sector came from health care (31,000), construction (30,000) and manufacturing (25,000).
- The retail sector, however, lost 20,000 jobs despite the holiday shopping season.
Warren Buffet has good news, "First, most American children are going to live far better than their parents did. Second, large gains in the living standards of Americans will continue for many generations to come."
With all of the information available on the Internets it is still hard to determine how we are doing. I'm no economist, doctor, lawyer, or legislator. I do produce as do so many of us. However, it is very hard to combine the results of all working age individuals and determine if they are achieving the good news Buffett presents.
