The video isn't from the greatest of angles, but you do get great shots of the crowd. I'm working on getting the Congressman Davis video from the rally uploaded too.

More video after the jump...

yellow shirts??

JustJohnny, what are the yellow shirts/signs? I really like the youthful energy of Ford's supporters. When I'm at the Knoxville headquarters, I'm about the oldest person there, and I'm not that old :).

yellows...

...were the firefighter's union members.

Great!

Thanks for the video and the answer.

JustJohnny's picture

hmm...

...there was also one odd yellow sign, not associated with the firefighters, that read "Impeach ####".

Dude, you must have been

Dude, you must have been standing within 10 yards of me. Were you the guy with the video cam setup on a tripod?

JustJohnny's picture

SERIOUSLY!

How many times have we stood side by side and not known it! I keep looking for that hat...

Yep. That was me. Was there with a student reporter from Dr. Stovall's JEM class.

We gotta shake hands one day.

We gotta shake hands one

We gotta shake hands one day.

Or better yet, I need to buy you a beer or two one day.

Or even better yet, you can buy me a couple of shots of Glenlivet. Heh.

Sorry I missed you. A great event, though, eh?

JustJohnny's picture

great event, for sure!

I was amazed at the size of the crowd and the interesting mix of supporters on hand. From the big burly fire fighters to the group of older ladies to the energized star-struck students --man what a crowd. Looks like MSNBC also done a great job on the coverage today too.
