Not everyone at the New York Times is a terrorist sympathizing traitor. In addition to his big feature a couple of months ago on Derek Trucks, Jesse Fox Mayshark (formerly of Knoxville's Metro Pulse weekly) has a couple of recent new bylines in the NYT.

The first one is an article about the Frank Zappa legacy, reprinted from the NYT in the San Diego Union-Tribune (the original NYT article is archived in the Times Select paid subscription service).

The most recent is a conversation with Ashley Capps about some of A.C.'s current playlist favorites. (Ashley Capps is the founder of Knoxville's A.C. Entertainment, a Southern entertainment powerhouse and producer of Bonnaroo.)
