On the same day that verified voting gets shanked by the state legislature, the same body votes to abolish the standing and standalone ethics committee that was instituted after roughly a third of the Democratic Senate delegation was frog-marched out of office in handcuffs a few years back.

Ethics enforcement was apparently only necessary during a Democratic majority.

Whatever happened to "trust, but verify?"
