Where: McGhee Tyson Airport - Air National Guard Base

The Smoky Mountain Air Show is this weekend.

Saturday, April 16, and Sunday April 17, 2016

The US Navy's Blue Angels are the highlight of the show.

Six aerial acts are included as well as many aircraft on display.
There will be music from the TN Air National Guard, Navy Band Great Lakes, and Ladies for Liberty.
The Budweiser Clydesdales will make an appearance.

8:00am : Parking Areas Open (You must have a parking pass)
10:00am : Gates Open
10:00am – 5:00pm : Static Displays, Vendors, Exhibits, Kids Area and Music Stage
11:00am – 12:00pm : Opening Ceremonies
12:00pm – 4:00pm : Aerial Performances
4:45pm : Gates Close

It will be fun and it will be loud.

Organizers say they are

Organizers say they are expecting up to 120,000 people each day, so be prepared for traffic. Also, WBIR will broadcast the performances live on Saturday.

Portion of the proceeds support Honor Air

Flight 20 left this a.m. at 8:00 a.m., they should be back in Knoxville around 8:00 p.m., if you want to do something nice for a veteran that did something nice for our country, step out to the airport around 7:45, shake the hands, slap the backs and thank as many of those veterans as you can for the things that they have done in service for our country.
