...or, "Rocks are Hard, Water is Wet, and the Texas Republican Party Doesn't Even Bother With Dog Whistles Anymore."

The only thing that I find

The only thing that I find surprising is that there's nothing oblique here.

And it's still early. It's going to look like a RIchard Pryor-Chevy Chase sketch before it's said & done.

At least they have moved on,

At least they have moved on, mine are still stuck on the "he's a muz-lum, don't ya know" objection.

I would love it if he

I would love it if he embraces it enough that there's BBQ and Blues at the swearing in party. That's a function I'd want to go to. It'd also scare the hell out of a bunch of these folks.

From Today's CNN Ticker

"When people are really hurting - and they are right now - they're not looking at a person's race."

This from Mike Huckabee who said that demonizing Obama could prove to be a "fatal mistake" for Republicans.

I have some acquaintances who professed to be devout Hillary fans. They are now saying that they are "not sure" who they will vote for.

They are sure.

One declares that, if Obama is elected, Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton will "take over."
