Too bad Knoxville got rid of all its clothing factories some 25 years ago. (In their place, we have office parks, condos, and vacant buildings.) They'd be able to produce protective gear for essential workers - masks, gowns, caps, gloves, etc. It seems to me grocery and pharmacy workers should be included in the 'essential worker' category, receiving preference for protective gear. For example:
