In the key Rocky Mountain battleground state of Colorado, Barack Obama drew a crowd of more than 100,000 at a Denver rally yesterday.
On Saturday, an Obama rally at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque drew 45,000 supporters. According to local news reports, the line was two miles long and people waited three hours to get in.
Earlier in the day, McCain held a rally at the New Mexico Fair Grounds in Albuquerque. It drew 1500 supporters.
On Saturday a week ago, Obama drew 100,000 to a rally in St. Louis.
My friends, I don't think I've ever seen anything like this.

I gotta wonder if McCain wants to just say, at this point, "who cares, this election is over. I wanna go home and see the kids and open a cold one."
I mean, I know he can't do that, but he has to feel like a French private at Waterloo right now -- he knows what the results going to be, but he can't give up either.
I actually feel a little sorry for him. His given up pretty much everything that made him into the Republican that Democrats had begrudging respect for, and is going to get nothing for it.
What does the Bible say? "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" McCain's given up his soul, metaphorically, and it getting nothing for it.
McCain in Denver on Friday: 4000
McCain Campaign Statement:
"We had 1500 before, and 4000 later. We're tripling our numbers! This is the fastest growing Presidential campaign in America!"
I hope all these people attending Obama events take the trouble to actually vote.
Poor McCain just can't attract a crowd without the help of his circus side show Palin.
Brian A.
I'd rather be cycling.
I hope all these people attending Obama events take the trouble to actually vote.
Very true. Kerry had some huge rallys going down the home stretch.
The difference this time, though, is Obama is not Kerry. Feels different this time, to me anyway.
But we'll see...
I hope all these people attending Obama events take the trouble to actually vote.
I just hope they are allowed to vote and that their votes are counted.
