Fossett wreckage found in rugged area of Sierra Nevada mountains.

According to the AP report, search teams describe a "hard-impact crash," and no remains have yet been found. Hikers found Fossett's pilot license and other documents along with some cash earlier in the week, leading searchers to the area.

Fossett's plane went missing over a year ago. Google and Amazon launched an interactive, online search of satellite images last September.
