The Mrs. and I busted out laughing when we saw this. Here's why...

I wrote the following post Monday afternoon, saved it, but never posted it because I decided it was too crazy:

Obama should announce that he is putting the election on hold and proposing that he and McCain sit down in a room together and figure out a joint, bi-partisan recommendation to solve this economic crisis.

They would each bring their top economic advisers, plus three each outside experts, to brainstorm. The mutually agreed upon best ideas would be presented to Bush and Congress.

If either candidate were first to propose this, that candidate would likely win the election.

A pretty good political stunt, and not so crazy after all I guess.

UPDATE: The article indicates that Obama suggested a joint statement earlier in the day, and this was McCain's response several hours later.
