There are a few amusing comments on Bonnaroo at the New York Times Artsbeat blog.

"Campsites become carsites. Other festivals segregate the autos and owners. You’re basically sleeping in a parking lot. Oh, and diesel/gas generators everywhere with no power feeds to vendors or campsites. Forget the noise, it's the air quality stupid. Combined with the dirt roads that are routinely traversed with septic pump trucks and other utility vehicles- vendors with dust masks make the real money. And by day two the freshly planted grass has been worn down to its mechanically inserted plugs. (12 inches between stubs) Last year’s dust clouds were an epidemic. It’s like a southeast food cart vendors conference with music and exhaust. Hmph."
