Last-minute help needed locating WWII vets

On the suggestion of interim Fourth District Commissioner William Daniels, Knox County Commission will host a reception for local World War II veterans prior to next Tuesday's commission meeting, and will honor vets in a ceremony during the meeting.

Daniels is asking for assistance from the public in identifying over 450 WW II vets believed to be living in Knox County. He asks that we contact Chuck Jones of the Knox County Veteran’s Service Office at (865) 215-5645 if we can help compile an accurate list of names.
