Can anyone offer advice to a soldier on where he can get married by Elvis in Gatlinburg? All I can think of to suggest is contacting the Gatlinburg chamber of commerce.

Yeah, next time duck when a mortar round goes off nearby. Poor cat has scrambled eggs for brains.
Married by Elvis in Gatlinburg? What ails you, son? Surely you don't want to be sitting in the living room with the wife and married, grown up kids with all the inlaws and family friends around, and when asked about your wedding you show them an album full of pictures of a fat guy with sideburns holding a bible in one hand and a piece of fried chicken in the other.
Your wedding is one of the most significant events of your life. Don't make a joke out of it.
It seems to me you are being a little rough on the guy.

To some this is not a joke, it's just having a litle fun. Your wedding and your married life are what you make of it.
We have seen, and it is definitely not always the case, that many times the length of the marriage is inversely proportional to the amount of money spent on a wedding.
Love, caring, friendship, etc. are what's important to a marriage. The wedding is just a party expected as a by-product of the license to make it "legal".

I've had two weddings. I sure enjoyed the one where I velcro'd my clothes on more than the other.
