Given the current, and likely future, circumstances with gas and transportation it would seem those monies should
be open to making the best moves possible. Whatever that may be. Which could be mass transit, via passenger rail lines, etc.

A note to your representative would be good.

Looks like the road building lobby is protecting their interests.
