Would you like to expand your classical music library or learn more about a favorite composer? Would you just like to listen to a classical music stream as you work at your desktop?
Try Classical Music Archives [1].
I have been a member for several years and, at a mere $25 for the first year and $20 per year thereafter, it's hard to beat. You can download up to 100 files per day or 1000 per month from a library containing thousands of recordings. And they are reasonably good quality 128 kbps mp3 files.
Now you won't find the Berlin Philharmonic here or any other artist familiar to you. Most are from Russia or Eastern Europe. They are quite competent and the price is certainly right. You can sample the work of obscure composers on the cheap.
To stream in iTunes, click "Advanced", "Open Stream", and paste this (less the brackets) into the field:

Now create a play list such as "Streams" and drag it into it so you can easily return to it tomorrow.
You don't have to be a member to enjoy the stream, it's free.
