Bean...you act as if there
Bean...you act as if there is some 'low' that's too low for HRC. Faced with the supposed fire-laced landing in Bosnia, HRC was merely, in one news cycle, changing the subject back to Pastor Wright, something which has hurt BHO over the past few weeks. She needed an outlet. Any port in a storm. Now, her comments are the story on major networks. It's playing on the Today Show as I type.
authority
Betty, you've got to defer to CBT on this one. Republicans certainly know more about sinking to new lows than anyone else. Really, when you look at all the things Republicans have been consistently and flagrantly wrong about -- torture, invasions, smoking out bin Laden, Chalabi, WMDs, intelligence leaks, signing statements, executive privilege, fiscal responsibility, science, bracing for Katrina, responding to Katrina, health care, morality and on and on -- there is really only one subject on which they have any credibility, and that is sinking to new lows.
Exactly
You nailed it.
Of course the list is much longer but the examples you give are exactly right.
"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro."

Not so newsy. Bill Clinton
Not so newsy. Bill Clinton met with the billionaire last July, 2007. Hillary Clinton wasn't interviewed by Scaife, he was in attendance.
I guess I'll never cease to
I guess I'll never cease to be amazed at the things the Clintons will do. Heck, a year ago, would I ever have thought Bill would go on Limbaugh's show, since he was the man who insinuated that Hillary killed Vince Foster and called Chelsea "the family dog"? And yeah, I know that El Blimpo wasn't there the day Bill was on, but still -- Bill Clinton on Rush Limbaugh's radio show? Yikes.
(link...)
And all Scaife did was finance the Arkansas Project, without which there would have been no Whitewater investigation, no Kenneth Starr and no impeachment. Lewinski probably would have happened anyway, but Bill wouldn't have had to commit perjury about it.

This is worth a Picture

Video proof that Hillary was
Video proof that Hillary was right...

I guess she is "ready to make nice" after all.
Maybe they can work that Scaife photo into the next Dixie Chick video montage... to the tune of "Bitter End" or perhaps "If I Fall You're Going With Me."
What's next?
Perhaps she will appear on Limbaugh's show in support of "Operation Chaos"?
Brian A.
I'd rather be cycling.
Fair and Balanced as usual
Meanwhile, where is the liberal MSM on John McCain's relationship to anti-Semite (among other things) Pastor Hagee? Or on McCain and his spiritual advisor, televangelist Rod Parsley, who is on a crusade to destroy the "false religion" of Islam?
How is McCain's involvement with these clowns not at least as newsworthy as Pastor Wright's comments? Yet McCain embraces his hate mongers and gets a total pass (h/t Kevin Drum). Why?
But yes, this is a shocker especially w/r/t Scaife.
John McCain's Spiritual Guides
I put together this video on McCain and his right-wing nut buddies, and some stuff from McCain that fits right in with what they have said.

P.S. I don't know if I've
P.S. I don't know if I've even seen the question posed: Why in the world would Team Hillary do this? And now there's their use of the American Spectator to do a Scaife style hit job. I guess she's learning the ropes (heh), but this is not going to help her with the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party.
It's pretty obvious that I
It's pretty obvious that I don't like the taste of ass enough to be in politics. Babies I'll kiss, but Richard Mellon Scaife's scurvy butt, no way. And if I were John McCain, no way I would ever have kissed up to Duhbya, not in a million years.
Liberty and justice for all.
