Bike Week

The rental brochure forgot to mention that it's Bike Week in Daytona. It's over tomorrow, but we took a stroll downtown for a sampling of the crazy. Some photos after the jump...

Everybody's a biker in Daytona this weekend

Woohoo, can't wait 'til my annual Myrtle Beach Bike Week trip in May. Nice photos. Look at what Elvis is riding. That's my bike except for mine's bright red, has some custom work and I don't dress like Elvis. About 1,500 miles over 6 days. I'm hoping for good weather.

Nice Bikes...

someday I hope to be able to afford one. That'll have to wait until I can get off disability and go back to work. Hopefully sooner, rather than later.

Right.

Right.

I went to Bike Week '89 on my brand spanking new Honda Hawk 659. It was absolutely wild and I got the holy shit scared out me by a couple of 1%ers at a Taco Bell that they had declared "our Taco Bell." Seems that back then the clubs would carve out establishments of all sorts as sort of "metaproperty" and any one not on a Harley (me) and not in the club (me) would get their ass kicked. I'd like to see how tame it is now with all the baby boomers. Their were guys at our hotel who would start the morning off by shooting at gulls off their balcony. I never went again.
