A principal in Hancock County will plead guilty to assault for a paddling incident of one of his elementary students. According to WATE [1] news, "Hancock County schools allow corporal punishment but strict guidelines must be followed." Something almost seems barbaric and double standard about this. If we parents were to use wooden paddles on our children, we would be hauled off to jail and our children would be taken from us. I feel there should be discipline but the strictest discipline should be left to the parent and not by someone who could care less about the well being of our children.
