Will the cold front and precipitation cause a problem with our commute this morning?

There is a severe weather alert

TEMPERATURES WILL DROP DRAMATICALLY BEHIND THE COLD FRONT...
THE FROZEN PRECIPITATION WILL OCCUR ACROSS MUCH OF EAST
TENNESSEE...

It's dropped 3 degrees in the last hour.

Be careful out there!

Hey, we're in the South, ya know. Those under 30 don't know much about snow, unless they travel.

It's sleeting in Blount County. Roads seem to be fine, so far. Sidewalk wasn't ice either, a little slippery maybe.

When we lived in Florida, I worked with an under-25 native Floridian. She had never seen snow until that year. She was driving and wondered what that white stuff was along the road. Obviously not much snow.

That same Floridian had never seen clay soil either. Said she ruined a good pair of suede boots, not knowing what she was stepping into.
