The wicked witch of the Right appearing before a Young Americans for Freedom audience totally trashed McCain, calling him a bone-head. She said she thought Hillary Clinton's stand on the war on terrorism was better than his, even though she hates the Clintons. She blamed Mitt Romney's failure to get more votes on the media "because they always focus on our weakest candidate". She said she thinks Romney would be the best vice president. Then she compared Huckabee to Jimmy Swaggert.
One young woman asking questions practically broke down when she said she thought Coulter was causing a division in the Republican party with her attacks on McCain, and she was afraid the Democrats might win because of it. The fear the young woman expressed about living under a Democratic president seemed genuine. You could tell her disappointment with Coulter was painful.
The most interesting thing about it was realizing that the young people in the audience, who one could suppose became enchanted with politics (the young girl admitted as much) because of Ann Coulter's ruthless biting commentaries about Democrats, seemed confused about how to respond when she was attacking McCain and Huckabee. Not all of them were laughing at her jokes.

Ann Coulter is completely
Ann Coulter is completely 'round the bend, off her nut, mind-blowingly insane. In short, perfect for the YAF.
Liberty and justice for all.
My new home
She's also an egomaniac who made herself a brand name
I still can't believe anyone with their whole life ahead of them would want to be a follower of hers! When she was asked if she ever dated a liberal, it took her a moment in which she tried to look coy, then she said," Well, if I did, they weren't one for long".
Obviously flattered by the suggestion she was a female capable of geting a date and with her "oh-so-savvy" answer, her eyes flashed and her lips did this twisting, twitching sort of thing for a few minutes. It was horrible to watch, but I feel like I want to know what the sharks and bottom feeders are up to so occasionally I force myself to dive down to take a peek.
If it wasn't so insulting to gay people, I'd say she was a devil-woman in Republican drag.
Oh, Carole
You are so bad. But, spot on, sis!
Just a symptom of the rift:
While the Dems were completely focused on their opposition to the war in Iraq, lots of GOP'ers were quietly becoming disgusted with GW and the GOP congress over the out of control spending. A very sizeable percentage of GOP'ers belong to that party because they are committed to shrinking the size of government, and they were utterly betrayed by GW and the GOP congress. The libertarian wing of the GOP are the unhappiest of unhappy campers right now. These folks vote like it's a religious commandment, but I have no idea who they're going to turn to in 2008. Should be interesting to watch. Hillary could possibly pick up a few of these votes by reminding folks that her husband did preside over a surplus for part of his administration, and making it clear that HillaryCare part II isn't the big federal power grab that HillaryCare I represented.
