Graham

I noticed there has been alot said lately about Tim Graham and his 6 mil in TIF's etc. But its being lost on people that he's hosting this free expo in the middle of the month to meet candidates. Does he own the expo center where its taking place? Its a great idea to have the forum, but it seems to taint Knox County's supposed fresh start with it being a Graham, or any developer's love fest. I also hope people who aren't politicos actually come meet the candidates. I've been to many of these type of things where only each candidate's volunteers show up.
For me I have decided Graham's motives are more than slightly suspect and I will not attend.
I assume there are some other venues, that offer convenient free parking at which the election commission, News-Sentinel, Metro Pulse, etc. could offer the same opportunity. On a Saturday for several hours.

The Expo Center proudly advertises being a non-union shop. Ragsdale has a his school kick-off at the Convention Center-which has some union workers- for free every year. I'm not so concerned about any of that, it just looks bad to start anew with a developer sponsored event. But that said, I hope people besides campaign groupies have a look at these folks. I've already read about them all.
