What they said

Same here, gonzone. It really hurts when they're gone. They're totally innocent and you feel so helpless. I'm sure you gave him a great life and that's all you can do.

Struggling this year

My dog of 14 years finally gave out Sunday afternoon.
No more operational back legs.
Had to take him to the animal ER for euthanasia.
Man, I knew it would happen relatively soon but I didn't realize how much I loved my companion and how much it hurts.

I'm so sorry to hear about

I'm so sorry to hear about your furry companion, gonzone. Some people have no idea how much our animal friends mean to us. They give unconditional love. December can be a hard month. Best wishes to you.

Fox News

Might want to keep an eye out for the pupster on Fox News. Seems like they have been stealing adorable doggy photographs recently.

We were posing for a group picture -- all 17 of us -- when my aunt's cat came in the cat door tonight. Poor thing was clearly thinking we'd all left. She got a look of pure terror on her face and promptly ran into the dining room and then wanted out the front door. She is an older kitty, and dislikes being around anyone except my uncle and aunt, who spoil her just a tad.
