candidate websites
I have also found a website for Steve Bohanan (R) County Commission 9-A. It is www.stevebohanan.com
Can you tell us about Steve
Can you tell us about Steve Bohannon?
Why is having a donate
Why is having a donate button on the main page such a great thing? I'd rather someone get to know who I am as a candidate, THEN donate. :)

Fighting for Reform and Representation, Fourth District
Steve Drevik, Commission Seat 4-B
http://www.reform4.com
These websites all seem very static to me
What's up with the colors? Does everything have to be staid red, white and blue? Does every candidate have to have a big headshot as the main focus? The basic design of the websites listed all seem very traditional, a little old-fashioned, and well..clones of each other. Does that mean the candidates are clones of each other too?
As voters and viewers, aren't we hoping to discover what differences there are between these people? Shouldn't the main picture on the website show activity? Something the candidates were physically doing that involved the community? Standard mug shots and classic family group photos do little to persuade me to vote for a candidate. If Tommie or Susie were actually doing something that reflected their parents' concern for the community then I think I would be impressed, but the standard obligatory family photo leaves me cold. I'm all for family values, but sitting on a porch all dressed up simply tells me what I already know---yes, these kids have nice clothes and they've learned not to make faces at the camera.
I know candidates are walking a fine line when it comes to appealing to conservative older voters and young constituents, but no matter how easy the websites were to travel through, no matter how informative they were, the bottom message they seemed to conveyed was "we are all the same" which to me translates into "I am not innovative. I know how to play this game." Because I know that some of candidates ARE passionate creative individuals full of vitality and action, I found this odd. That's just my opinion.
