His looks doesn't bother me. What does bother me about him is, that I fear he will be just an extension of Bush's manhood and the senate and congress will submit quietly to him as it has Bush.

I don't care what he looks like either. But when his supposed "charisma" is a selling point, it's probably a good idea to stop and look at exactly what makes the man so charismatic. Yeah, he's got a deep voice. So does that Chocolate Rain dude. Doesn't mean Tay Zonday is going to make it as President though. I'm no fan of Ronald Reagan, but I at least recognize the man had genuine charisma. Fred doesn't.

I was never a fan of Reagan either but along with his charisma he also had some substance behind his campaign. He was able to make his 'Trickle Down Economy' sound like a good thing and people bought into it, but I knew I was on the last trickle and would never benefit from it. Now with Thompson his appeal seems to be strictly focussed around his ability to act. He's just a poster boy being run to protect Bush and Cheney's posterior and to carry on their policies after they leave office.
