A friend had one of these at a party, and it actually looked useful so we got one recently. After using it several times, I can recommend the Magic Bullet.

It's basically just a mini-blender, but it's a lot more convenient and cleanup is a lot easier. It also has blades specially designed for making frozen drinks and it seems to work better than a blender.

You can make excellent frozen margaritas and coffee frappuccinos right in the provided drinking cups. It comes with a recipe book with some great sounding recipes for fruit smoothies that I'm looking forward to trying, but so far at our house it's only been used for making margaritas and frappuccinos. Some reviewers say the "food processor" features don't work so well, but that's not what I got it for so I'm satisfied.

Everything is dishwasher safe except the motor base. Or, you can just rinse off the cups and the blade assembly in the sink.

We got ours at Belks in the kitchen department. They may also have them at Walgreens, or you can order them from about a million places online.

It's pretty nice for whipping up a quick frozen margarita on a hot summer afternoon.

I agree

I have found the Magic Bullet to be great as a blender, but unless you like onion-tomato juice, don't try it for salsa.
