Girl Scout Cookies are here!

We were out running some errands and came upon a local Girl Scout troop offering up everyone's favorites at $3.50 per box.

We got: Thin Mints (of course), Samoas, Do-Si-Dos, and, what I think are a new addition to the lineup, All-Abouts.

All-Abouts are a shortbread cookie with fudge chocolate on the bottom. Mmmm. Each cookie has a saying about what being a Girl Scout is all about, thus the All-About name. Recommended.

(The irony is that one of our later stops was to get me a new blood glucose monitor to replace the old one I've had for about ten years.)

I got hit up for a few boxes today myself. I'm a sucker for the thin mints. Besides, how can you tell them no?

I'm less ambitious than Cathy...

...(maybe because I've been pandering Girl Scout cookies for eleven years now), but I will deliver cookies to any business in *north* Knoxville.

Or, my 15 year-old Girl Scout and I will conduct a cookie booth at Lowe's on Clinton Highway tomorrow, Sunday, March 4, from 2-4 pm (if you are perhaps an extraterrestrial and don't know anyone at all selling cookies).

Randy, you must have overlooked our new offering this year, Sugar-Free Little Brownies. The remainder of our product line includes:

Trefoils (the shortbread cookie, since 1912)
Do-Si-Dos (the peanut butter sandwich cookie)
Samoas (the caramel-coconut one, drizzled with fudge)
All Abouts (as Randy described, new about 4 years ago)
Cafe Cookies (new last year, the crispy cinnamon shortbread)
Tagalongs (the chocolate-covered peanut butter patty)
Thin Mints (what-are you from another universe altogether?!)

If you're out and about on the north end tomorrow, please consider stopping by to support my eleventh-year Senior Girl Scout, as she begins work on her Gold Award (the equivalent of the Eagle Scout rank in Boy Scouts). Only 1% of girls nationally will earn it!

Uhhhh...

(if you are perhaps an extraterrestrial and don't know anyone at all selling cookies).

That would be me...no kids left in my neighborhood...and I'm too old to be a Girl Scout anymore.

We'll be at Ben & Jerry's from 2-4 on Sunday. Cookies and ice cream, yummy.

Tamara, what is her Gold project? We're finishing Silver.

I don't think sugar free Brownies are a hot item in Blount County.

Is there only one Ben & Jerry's in town?

Ah, you're lookin' for Samoas or Tagalongs (or, as I call the Tags, Breakfast of Champions), bchesney. They're each 75 calories per itsy bitsy cookie. Pay no attention to the serving size--it's a misprint. ;-)
